Gov. Ishaku imposes dusk to dawn Curfew in Wukari

His Excellency Governor Darius Ishaku has imposed a 6pm to 6am curfew on wukari beginning from today, January 17th, 2019 and until further notice.
According to the press statement signed by the the senior special assistant to the Governor on media and publicity  Bala Dan Abu, the curfew was necessitated by the clashes that occurred in wukari today during the visit of the Gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress.  Accordingly, thea decision to impose the curfew is to prevent further breakdown of law and order in the town and its environs.
Governor Ishaku thereby urged the people to be law- abiding and to cooperate with the law enforcement agencies in order to avoid further detorioration of the security situation in the town.
He advised politicians to exercise restraint as they move around to campaign and to ensure thugs have no role to play during campaigns and the elections.
