Barr. Anna Ishaku Attends CSDP Project Launch.

Her Excellency, Barr. Mrs Anna Ishaku, wife of the Executive Governor of Taraba state attended the programme of Taraba State Community and Social Development Project (CSDP) themed Project Launch for Gender and Vulnerable Group Components Additional financing. The event took place yesterday at Dove Hotel, Jalingo.

As one of the major partners of the CDSP, the C.E.O of Hope Afresh Foundation Jalingo, Barr. Mrs. Anna Ishaku said her foundation is very proud to identify with the development objective of assuaging the underdevelopment in taraba state. “Taraba state is one of the poorest state in north east region and alot needs to be done in changing that condition”, she said.

Mrs. Ishaku adviced the beneficiary communities to follow through on their respective projects of skills because it is what will yield the possibility of contracts.

She praised the efforts of the Taraba General Manager CSDP for his relentless zeal of traveling far into depths of the communities to increase access of development projects.

The Taraba General Manager  CSDP, Mr. Irmiya E. Danjuma stated that the State Government with the assistance of the world bank has disbursed the sum of five hundred million naria to the CSDP, he said taraba state is blessed to have a Governor such as Arch. Darius Ishaku with a genuine heart for his people. He  acknowledged the partnership of the Hope Afresh Foundation on impacting positively in the lives of vulnerables in the state.

Presentation of Cheques to the Beneficiary communities was carried out by Her Excellency, Barr. Mrs Ishaku with the support of the wife of the Deputy Governor, Her Excellency Hajiya Zainab Haruna Manu. The communities include Garin Kiyari and Kundoku from Gassol Local Government Area, Dogon Gawa, Gayaba and Yatso from Takum Local Government Area, Kassa and Lakpanti from Yorro Local Government Area.

The Chairperson board, CSDP Taraba, Mrs. Patricia U. Kumbo who gave the vote of thanks for the presence of Her Excellencies, further encouraged the communities to do the needful with the cheques being given to them and not see it as a national cake to squander.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiary communities, Rev. Adamu B. Mashi from Kassa GPMC, Yorro Local Government area appreciated the gesture of the State Government and the avidness of Her Excellency through her foundation in actualizing the vision of development in Taraba. He also applauded the entire CSDP facilitators for adding knowledge to their lives. He promised that no community will be condemned as they will be faithful to the purpose of duty.
