His Excellency Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku today commissioned new Machines at the Kakara Tea Factory. This is coming after over two years that he commissioned others that turned around the fortunes of the Company.
The Governor said this is the fourth time he is coming to the company and he is happy to see the company making profits in the midst of over 180 million people.
Ishaku noted his satisfaction with the Managering Director of the factory for doing very well in uplifting the rescue mission agenda. He said the company has engaged over 2000 youths and this has turned around the standard of living in the area.
Ishaku said though the number of OGS has improved, his dream is that the company should be able to generate over 300 million Naira profit by next year, he however said many people are migrating from other places just to enjoy the power generated from the Tunga Dam, stating the phase two of the Tunga dam is on its way and it is twice the size of the present one.
The Governor assured them of a robust marketing strategy which will bring to the face of the world the quality of the Tea.
Darius who also stated the possibility of the expansion on the tea farm, was excited that the machines to be commissioned was the product of the profits generated from the company which is highly commendable.
He said coffee production should be encouraged as he promised to make it a viable project.
Ishaku said his government is ever ready to engage any company that proves worthy of increasing the industrial growth of the state.
He advised the people to always handle the projects as theirs so that in few years time millionaires will spring up from the company.
He appreciated the management and staffs for putting in their best in turning around the company.
