NULGE affirms Taraba Stands up-to date in Salaries.
The Acting President, NULGE (Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees), Taraba State Chapter today affirmed the earlier statement of Governor Ishaku saying that he is up-to-date in salary payment.
He made this statement when he led a team of his executives on a presentation to the Permanent Secretary on Bureau For Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs, Alhaji Bello Yero.
Alhaji Yero while addressing the NULGE delegation said he is indeed overwhelmed with the action of the union because since the inception of the Darius administration, they have tiredlessly worked on resolving salary issues.
He further assured them that the two months arrears been owed by the government will be paid because the Governor is committed on it.
He also stated that he will keep doing his best in making sure that the union operates effectively and to also put the interest of the people first
The Permanent Secretary assured them of building a total bridge of connection between them and the Government saying Governor Ishaku is doing everything possible in making sure that no sector in the State defaults in its duties. He urged them to keep supporting the Government in their own way because it is a collective effort in building a better Taraba.
Alhaji Yero appealed to the NULGE Chapter of the State to communicate to their branches in the entire 16 local government areas to mobilise and give Governor Darius Ishaku deserving votes in the 2019 Elections. He appreciated the newly appointed acting President of NULGE and wished him a successful tenure.
The Acting President NULGE said they have done their findings and realised that Taraba state under the leadership of Governor Darius has fulfilled its promises on salary matters.
He went further to say that since the inception of this administration, NULGE has never gone on the street to protest for any reason or strike for reasons of Salaries or negligence of staff welfare.
He said they will work in harmony with the State Government in making sure that the relationship doesn’t go soar. He thanked the Governor for his support and concern on the union.
