Governor Ishaku Assures on payment of Pension Gratuity.
Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku has assured retirees of his administrations readiness to commence payment of gratuity.
The governor stated this when Local Government Chairmen in the state paid him a solidarity visit at the Government house Jalingo.
He said the burden of governance needs a wholistic approach to touch health, education, agiculture and other sectors and advised them to be patient as payment of their gratuity would be done gradually to cushion their sufferings.
Governor Ishaku tasked the local government chairmen to sensitize eligible voters in their areas on the rudiments of voting and how to protect it to ensuring that their preferred candidate is voted into power.
The governor who raised alarm on the influx of people from Zamfara state to Bali and Gassol Local Government Areas charged residents of the Areas to be watchful and report suspicious persons to designated authority.
He also advised them to work closely with their chiefs particularly in the areas of security stating that plans are already on ground to establish districts in the state.
Earlier, Permanent secretary Bureau for local government and chieftaincy affairs Bello Yero told the governor that the local government chairmen have judiciously used fund giving to them for community based projects.
Bello Yero who was elated stressed that the efforts of the chairmen were noticed by San Jip a non governmental organization in collaboration with the office of the Secretary General of the federation who picked six of the chairmen and presented them with awards .
The permanent secretary named the recipients according to their local government which includes Gashaka, Kurmi, Takum, Jalingo,Karim and Wukari Chairmen respectively.
In his vote of thanks ALGON chairman of the state Ibrahim Stephen Agya pledged the resolve of the chairmen to not only be meticulous in handling fund for community development but would strive to work for their people to be proud of them.
Meanwhile, Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku has presented Sixteen Hilux to Local Government chairmen in the state.
Presenting the keys to them at the Government house Jalingo, Governor Ishaku challenged them to use the cars judiciously and thanked them for their patience.
Commenting, Permanent secretary bureau for local government and chieftaincy affairs Bello Yero said the fund for the purchase of the vehicles was through savings from the bureau account as directed by the governor.
It could be recalled that governor Darius Dickson Ishaku recently presented Hilux vehicles to various security outfits in the state.
