The Wife of Taraba State Governor, Barr. Anna Darius Ishaku has bagged the 2018 African Virtuous Woman Award for her relentless effort in African Women Empowerment and skill acquisition training to the downtrodden of the state.
The Award Ceremony organized by the African Virtuous Women Organization took place at the Women Development Centre, Abuja.
The Organization which among its numerous missions, recognizes women who have pushed beyond the confines of their comfort zone by helping humanity to be self-reliant and productive to themselves and society at large.
The award attracted recipients from Uganda, Liberia, South Africa, Ghana and Nigeria among others who have distinguished themselves in different areas of endeavors such as being founders of Non-governmental organizations, philanthropists, human rights activists, musicians/Nollywood actresses and a host of virtuous women who have rendered selfless service to humanity.
Barr. Anna Darius Ishaku who was represented by Wife of the State Deputy Governor, Hajiya Zainab Manu appreciated the organizers of the event for the honor bestowed upon the first lady and reiterated that the award would surely spur her to do more deserving exploits.
The Coordinator of NGADA Special Development area, Rev. Nagombe Joseph, and Mrs. Charity Green said the award conferred on the founder of Hope Afresh Foundation Taraba, Barr. Anna Darius Ishaku is well deserving by putting into cognition her relentless efforts in humanitarian services.
A thrilling performance from Gospel Mallam and a host of other Abuja based comedians added color to the event.
