The First Lady of Taraba State Government, Barr. Mrs. Anna Darius Ishaku said the Economic system of our country is still untapped as many young entrepreneurs are not in tuned with the production and management of material wealth available to them, hence the need to improve economic base is of utmost importance.
Stating this today during a presentation of Award by the Community of TIV students Taraba State University chapter, at the Hall of the Hope Afresh Foundation, the Governor’s wife expressed that her foundation was set-up to improve the quality of life to the needy in the State through programs such as skills acquisition initiative which is also aided with some funding.
Barr. Anna explained that though she is able to do her best for the State as it is in her capacity as the Governor’s wife but power also lies in the hands of a citizen who should not be waiting on the Government to carter for his/her needs. An individual should be challenged to learn a trade that is to be sustained in a business and with that, self-sufficiency makes society better in adding to the economic sphere, she added.
The President of the Community of TIV students TSU chapter, Mr. Emberga Joshua lauded Barr. Anna Ishaku for standing by her husband, Arc. Darius Ishaku in making Taraba State what it is today. The Rescue Administration has restored hope to our parents and guardians by appointing a good number of them into various political offices, large employment of TIV sons and daughters into ministries to mention but a few, he stated.
The Presentation of Award and decoration of TIV attire on the first lady was exhibited by some political appointees, lecturers of TSU and Commissioner of Environment, Hon. Mrs. Rebecca Manasseh.
