Tarabans have been asked to complement Government efforts in the provision of basic social amenities to the societies.
The Wife of the Taraba Governor, Barr. Anna Darius Ishaku stated this while inaugurating two blocks of four classrooms constructed by former member representing Nguroje constituency, Rashida Abdullahi at Lumme Manchau and Manchau primary Schools in Sardauna Local Government Area.
She commended the former legislator for deeming it fit to construct classrooms for pupils of Lumme Manchau and Manchau villages of Kakara Ward.
Earlier in her remarks, former Member representing Nguroje Constituency, Rashida Abdullahi said her desire to construct blocks of classrooms for pupils was borne out of her passion for education for the upcoming generation.
She narrated that when she first visited the two schools seeing pupils sitting under makeshifts gave her cause for concern hence her decision to build the classrooms for a conducive learning environment.
Rashida Abdullahi Appreciated the Governor’s wife for taking time to come all the way to inaugurate the two blocks of classrooms.
In his remarks, the State chairman Primary Education Board, Yakubu Agbazio commended the former legislator for the gesture and pledged to look into the challenges of inadequate teachers in the two primary schools with a view to addressing.
In his address, the head teacher, Lumme Manchau Primary School, Abel Mathew enumerated challenges of the school to include lack of teachers, health care facilities, a secondary school and polling units among others.
Abel appreciated the former legislator Rashida Abdullahi for the gesture saying it has given them a sense of belonging.
He thanked the Governor’s wife for the visit adding that it is the first of its kind in the history of Lumme Manchau community.
The Governor’s wife was given a rousing welcome by the villagers who also performed traditional dances in appreciation of Her visit to their village.
