First Baptist Church Jalingo stage Protest against Incessant Killings in Nigeria

Members of the First Baptist Church have staged a protest in condemnation of the incessant killings going on in the Country.

While addressing, the congregation during the protest at the Church premises in Jalingo, Reverend Moses Iro, urged President Muhammadu Buhari to as a matter of urgency apologized to Nigerians as a result of the senseless carnage.

He condemned the recent killings that took place in various crises spot in Taraba State including two Catholic Priest that died in Benue state and seventeen others.

Reverend Iro, who remarked that Nigerian as a Nation has freedom of worship, hence the need for its citizens be allowed to do so freely without restrictions and called for the immediate release of Leah, a Christian girl abducted with others during the Dapchi School girls episode.

The Clergy Challenged President Buhari to be unbiased and threat all Nigerians equally irrespective of tribes, religion, and other affiliations.

The protest is in line with the directive given by the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN for Christians to use Sunday service to pray for peace and security in Nigeria.

Special prayers were later said for peace and security in the Country.
