Amb. Njiwah Tasks the People of Sardauna LGA to Cooperate with Assessment Committee.

The assessment committee set up by Taraba Governor, Darius Dickson Ishaku yesterday commenced visitation of affected areas with a view ascertaining the numbers deaths, damages and loses in the wake of the two crises.

The first point of call by the committee was Yerimaru which is under Nguroje constituency.

Addressing the people, the Chairman of the assessment committee, Amb. Emmanuel Njiwah said they have come to actually verify the accurate numbers of deaths, damages and loses in each of the affected community in Mambila Plateau.

Emmanuel Njiwah pleaded with people, to be honest in recounting their loses, saying that it is the only way government will actually know that the people of Mambila Plateau have forgiven one another and are ready to coexist peacefully.

He further told the people to furnish the committee with the names of persons that were injured in the two crises and are receiving treatments elsewhere so that they too would be captured.

Amb. Njiwah solicited for their honest cooperation and support, stressing that their support will eventually translate into the success of the exercise.

Appreciating the good gesture of Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku, the Hakimi of Kakara, Jauro Yahaya Garba said the Governor has shown that he is a symbol as well as an instrument of peace and assured that they are willing to accord him the needed support to transform the state positively.

Jauro Yahaya Garba stated that the Governor good gesture will go a long way in cushioning the hardship faced by the entire people of Sardauna and would also energies the peace process among all the inhabitants of Mambila Plateau, averring that, they will also do their best to ensure the good intention of the Governor flourishes.

Other places visited under Nguroje constituency included Kashala Sa’ah, Nyiwah, Kakara Tea Estate, Nguroje and its environs.
