IGP Ibrahim Idris seeks collaboration of Nigerians to tackle insecurity

Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris has sought collaborative efforts with Nigerians to tackle security challenges bedevilling the country.

Ibrahim stated this during a meeting with stakeholders at the Exco’s Chambers Government House Jalingo.

He said the loyalty traditional rulers and religious leaders draw for their people can serve as a fundamental tool towards building peaceful and harmonious Society.

The IG stated that no organization in the country would succeed in combating crimes without carrying traditional rulers along hence the need for them to be proactive on tackling security issues in their domain.

Ibrahim Idris charged Nigerians to believe in the unity of the country as problems on security would soon be surmounted.

Commenting, Chairman of the state traditional Council Aku Uka called on the Inspector General Police to adequately equip the Nigerian police force for optimal performance.

He urge the support of all the traditional rulers in the state towards the maintainance of peace.

Representative of the Muslim Council and Christian Association CAN who spoke during the meeting commended the Nigerian police force for their quick response to tackle crisis in the State.

They identified peace as paramount to the development of the society hence the need for Nigerians to work collectively to achieve peace.

Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris is in the State for on the spot assessment of the various deployment of police to the state to tackle insecurity.
