The Governor made the remarks when Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris paid him a courtesy call at the Government House, Jalingo.
He said the gesture would further solidify security architecture for lasting peace in the state.
Governor Ishaku assured the IG of his full support to the Police and called on Tarabans to unite for the sake of peace and harmony.
Earlier, Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris said he was in the state for on the spot assessment to see how best to tackle challenge to insecurity.
He promised to work on the same page with Governor Ishaku to maintain peace.
The visit also featured the presentation of a plaque to Governor Ishaku for his contribution to peace in the state.
