Governor Ishaku has described late Premier of Northern Nigeria Sir Ahmadu Bello as a symbol of unity.
The Governor made the remarks when Members of the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial foundation led by the former Governor of Niger State Babangida Aliyu ,paid him a condolence visit at the Government House Jalingo.
The Governor commended Sir Ahmadu Bello for establishing the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria that has nurtured great Men and women of sound character in the contemporary society.
Governor Darius Ishaku who blamed elites for misinforming their people urged them to ensure that they sensitise the people for the sake of peace and development.
He described their visit as historic assured them of his resolve to maintain peace in the state.
Earlier, leader of the delegation, who was the former Governor of Niger State,Babangida Aliyu thanked people of the state for their support to the Sir Ahmadu memorial foundation.
He stated that Ahmadu Bello is known for his honesty, selflessness, unity and peace in Northern Nigeria which people must appreciate.
Aliyu, encouraged Governor Ishaku to vigorously pursue issues pertaining peace and security.
On his part, Former President of the court of Appeal, Justice Nasir Mamman advised security operatives not to put money above their service to the Nation in view of the fragile security challenges bedevilling the country .
Commenting, Former Governor of Adamawa state Murtala Nyako condemned in totality recent farmers and herdsmen clashes in the Country that has brought untold hardship to people affected.
