Taraba State Government is set to team up with Access Bank of Nigeria for the development of the State. This was stated today during a closed-door meeting at the Government house Jalingo with the Access bank entourage.
The Access Bank Group Managing Director from Lagos Headquarters, Mr. Herbert Wigwe presented his announcement to the Governor. The Bank seeks to partner with Taraba State Government on Housing, infrastructure, and Education, he said.
Mr. Herbert stated that there will be a 200 – 500 housing scheme for the improvement of the general welfare of the people of Taraba State.
In his response, Governor Ishaku said his Rescue mission’s vision is definitely pushing the state forward so much that a very prestigious bank as Access Bank would seek to partner with the Government. He applauded the initiative of the Bank in rendering the various projects soon to be implemented for the improvement of the lives of his people especially the civil servants of the State.
He expressed the situation of the lack of ownership on Houses for most civil servants in the State as a terrible experience, however, with the collaboration with Access bank, there will be a medium where civil servants will own their houses.
Also, Governor Ishaku mentioned that the partnership will extend to other sectors like Agriculture where plans on farms for Ranching will soon be realized.
In addition, the Rescue Captain gave his assurance that the Bank’s involvement in the affairs of the State development is of good intention.
The Deputy Governor, Engr. Haruna Manu was in attendance together with the SSG of the State, Mr. Jellason Anthony, and other Honorable Commissioners.
