NTA Jalingo Host Schools in Science, Arts and Technology Mini EXPO 2017.

The National Television Authority (NTA), Jalingo held an exhibition for schools in Jalingo for the junior and senior category where winners will represent Taraba in the National exhibition in Abuja. This took place at the NTA office where the National Children Science, Arts, and Technology Mini EXPO 2017 had fifteen participating schools and three observing schools.

The first lady of Taraba State, Barr. Anna Ishaku congratulated the participants and encouraged them to use their brains in a positive way of inventions which will bring value and money to the country.  And by starting now, it is not late for them to make an impact in the nation. In addition, Her Excellency gave out little tokens to all participants of the 2017 exhibition.

The NTA General Manager, Ocho Eche Peter said Taraba State schools have never participated below 3rd position at the Federal level. He stated that if participants are not amongst the best this year, they should not be discouraged because there is still hope for next year.

In the junior category, Excellence International School came 1st and 2nd, Iqra Science Academy came 3rd while in the senior category, Radai Metropolitan school came 1st and 3rd, Federal science and Technology school came 2nd.

The Producer (NTA) of the mini EXPO 2017, Ruth Nnadi mentioned that this occasion is to select schools and children to represent Taraba State in the National Children’s EXPO coming up from the 22nd -27th October 2017 at the Federal Capital Territory Abuja. She also stated that since 2008 when Taraba State first participated, they have won laurels for instance in 2008, 2010 and 2011, Taraba State came 3rd. While in 2015, the State came 2nd in the junior category and in 2016, Taraba came 1st in the senior and junior category.

Mrs. Ruth Nnadi thanked Her Excellency for her contributions and Hon. Peter Diah, Speaker House of Assembly, Taraba State.
