The Secretary to the State Government of Taraba State, Hon. Anthony Jellason in an address stated that the late former Governor, Danbaba Suntai was a Veteran of their generation. He made this statement yesterday at the Service of Songs in Honour of the late former Governor of the State. The program was held at the CAN Christian Center Jalingo.
In representing His Excellency, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku, Executive Governor of Taraba State, Hon. Jellason restated that Death is inevitable and a necessary path for everyone. He further described the late former Governor as a humble, respectful and very forgiving person who touched the lives of so many Tarabans.
The SSG admonished Tarabans to answer the clarion call of attending the final burial of the Late Governor slated for the 19th August 2017 at his Hometown Suntai, Bali Local government area to pay their last respect.
The Guest Speaker in the person of Rev. Dr. Caleb Ahima, President of the Christian Reform Church of Nigeria (CRCN), asserted in his sermon that Death is a path way to a blissful eternity and the first death must be experienced by all. However, he encouraged the congregation that the lake of fire which is the second death can be avoided.
The First lady of Taraba State, Barr. Anna Ishaku was also in attendance along with other dignitaries of the state like the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Peter Abel Diah, the Chief Justice of the State, Barr. Mrs. Josephine Tuktur and other Commissioners.
