The Central Bank Of Nigeria in collaboration with the Hope Afresh Foundation, Taraba State and the Entrepreneurship Development Skills Centre, North East (E.D.C-NE) had its Second Batch of Trainees embark on a one day Excursion Exercise. The Event took off Yesterday at the Jalingo Skills Acquisition Centre with 250 trainees alongside with the Project Manager of the Hope Afresh Foundation, Mrs Helen Douglas, who spearheaded the exercise to three Locations. The Event was implemented by Abubakar Ibrahim Services Ltd with the Team Leader of Mr Danladi Lawal.
The Centre of the Skills Acquisition which trains participants in Businesses of all types in terms of Production, Processing and Services, first visited the Bio-Resources Development Centre, Jalingo. The Director of the Bio-Resources Centre, Dr. Mrs Jummai Adamu spoke on the visit explaining that the Centre is simply for harnessing Bio materials and turning it into Products. The Trainees were educated on all the Sections of the centre such as the Chemical section with its products of Oil, Shampoo, Creams Moringa Bathing liquid soap, etcetera and the Poultry Section, Fish farming Section to mention a few.
Dr. Nasir Baba Mallam, an Instructor of the training posited that the event was very colourful with the cooperation from the participants. He also said all of this was part of a corporate Social Responsibility and community by the Hope Afresh Foundation and the Entrepreneurship Development Skills Centre, North East in assisting the needy in the state. He this during a visit to the Specialist Hospital, Jalingo where Gift materials of Sweaters was distributed at the children’s ward.
The Group’s Location at the Jalingo Main Market was on Sensitizing Traders on the importance of Book Keeping. The Project Manager, Mrs Helen Douglas stated that ‘It is very prevalent amongst Business Owners to not understand the Basic concept of recording their financial activities.
