The wife of the Executive Governor of Taraba State, Barr. Anna Darius Ishaku had a courtesy visit from two women groups from the State, the Jenjo Trustworthy Women Corporative, and Women Interfaith for Peace and Empowerment Initiative. The Visit took place yesterday at Her Excellency’s office, Hope Afresh Foundation Jalingo, Taraba State.
Her Excellency during the call, said the generation we see now can be perceived as Ducklings leading the duck to children leading the Parent, explaining this as a need for Mothers to be the foundation of their children’s affairs. She used this analogy while addressing the Women Inter-Faith for Peace and Empowerment Initiative.
Her Excellency acknowledged the group for appreciating the vision of the government for continuous peace, stating that Religion is a beautiful thing used as a vehicle to take us closer to God and not as a tool for destruction.
Mrs. Aishatu Mohammed Bello, President of the group appealed for support to rally for Peace in the state. There is no inequality in Religion and Tarabans should strive for peace and unity, she said.
Additionally, Barr. Anna Darius Ishaku in response to the Jenjo Trust Worthy Women Corporative expressed her appreciation to her visitors from Karim Lamido local government area of Taraba State and specified that considerations will be taken to the group for inclusion in the Foundation’s activities such as skills acquisition training and Central Bank training to benefit successful participants in getting loans. She encouraged the group to indulge in activities that would generate income and reach out to their communities for sustainable development.
The leader of the Jenjo women cooperative, Mrs. Sarah Dimsa, also expressed her appreciation towards the passionate efforts of the first Lady and her foundation and applauded her achievements recorded so far. The women leader also used the platform to seek partnership with Hope Afresh Foundation to push the vision of the two organizations which are both in line with developing the community through community development projects, fostering unity and teaching women to be self-reliant.
The Courtesy visit from the two women groups was in synergy to appreciate Her Excellency’s Foundation, seek future partnership and also to condole the State government on the demise of the former Governor, His Excellency late Pham.Danbaba Danfulani Suntai.
