- In the wake of the recent crisis on the Mambilla Plateau, Governor Darius Ishaku convened an emergency stakeholders meeting with representatives of ethnic groups in the area alongside security operatives and top Government functionaries on June 12.
He also held meetings with various groups and agencies to brainstorm on possible quick and lasting solutions to the crises.

4. He set up two Committees headed by the Deputy Governor Engr. Haruna Manu and the other by the Cheif of Mambilla, Dr. Shehu Audu Baju ll each with a peculiar mandate to immediately end the hate and acrimony that had encroached upon the peace loving people on 25th June 2017
- He also set up the truth and reconciliation committee which will comprise of religious leaders from the two major religions, Christianity and Islam on June 25th, 2017.
He directed the State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA to immediately identify where people from the affected areas were seeking refuge with a view in giving them immediate assistance in terms of medicines, shelter, and food.
He urged the people not to seek revenge and firmly charged politicians not to exaggerate the casualties.
He constantly reassured people of the State in press releases that the situation was solidly under control which it was.
A high-powered Government delegation headed by the Deputy Governor has arrived Sardauna LGA to facilitate the peace process today 28th June, 2017.
