As world economies continue to experience downturns with unimaginable consequences, members of the the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, have been urged to invest in capacity building of youth.
The Governor of Taraba State, Darius Dickson Ishaku stated this during the closing ceremony of the 2017 Batch A orientation course, held yesterday at the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Sibre.
He emphasized that the service year was a time for the Corps members to bring to bear all they had learnt within the period of the orientation course in order to contribute to the development of their host communities and the State.
Governor Ishaku who was represented by the Commissioner of Justice, Barr. Yusuf Akirikwen expressed gratitude to all camp officials and all those who had contributed to the success of the course.
The people’s Governor further assured them of the implicit resolve of his administration to support the NYSC scheme, and ensure an enabling environment for all men of goodwill in the State, irrespective of their political, cultural and social leanings.
