Barr. Anna Ishaku Attends Ceremonial Opening Parade of Girls’ Brigade Taraba.

The Wife of the Executive Governor of Taraba State, Barr. Anna Ishaku attended the official opening ceremony programme of the girls’ Brigade Nigeria, taraba state.

This was held yesterday, 24th April 2017 at the Reformed combined secondary school, Takum.

Barr. Anna Ishaku congratulated the Girls’ Brigade Nigeria, taraba State on its occasion of the 2017 state camp conference and in particular, the new patrons on their investiture.

The Girls’ Brigade internationally, among other things is aimed at developing character and leadership qualities and skills within the lives of teens and youths. Such Conferences as this are educative with fun and excitement, teaching the youngsters ways of reaching out and touching lives, she stated.

Her Excellency further explained that participants should cultivate attitudes of constant searching for knowledge, growing and developing oneselves, building and spreading the gospel  which will make each and every person leaving the camp to be better informed to change their homes, communities and the larger society.

The Guest Speaker, Lieutenant Esther Ezra Shitta who gave the exhortation, read the Bible from Ephesian 2:10 with the theme “Created in Christ Jesus to do good works”.

In an address made by the State Commandant, Tabitha Bako Ali,  expressed deep appreciation to her Excellency on sponsoring two officers to Ghana for Girls’ Brigade African Fellowship in August 2017.

The Decoration and Oath taking of the new patrons, Mrs Christiana Asaba Galeya, Mrs Esther Samaila, Mrs Larai Maihankali, Mrs Lengem Nev, Mrs Veronica Moses and Mrs George yakuba was taken in the presence of the State Chaplain Rev. Ishaku Iliya Abe.
