Wife of Taraba Gov. Lauds Ongoing Skills Acquisition Programme.

Wife of the Taraba State Governor, Barr. Anna Darius Ishaku has commended stakeholders in the ongoing skills acquisition program and has expressed satisfaction with the level of progress made at the training center.

Barr. Anna Ishaku who visited the Taraba State University Skills Acquisition Center in Jalingo today disclosed that she needed to get first hand information on the level of training so far.

She commended instructors and trainees for ensuring that the programme achieves its aims of making women and youths productive and self reliant urging them to maintain the tempo for complete success.

The facilitators of the programme who were delighted with the First Lady’s determination to ensure the success of the project, stated that Taraba State has a higher number of beneficiaries compared to other States in the North East and vowed not to let the State down in their duties.

Beneficiaries of the project who are currently training in the sewing of Senegalese designs, catering and ICT among others were also delighted to see that so much attention is given to their training progress and were no doubt encouraged to put in more effort to learn better.

It would be recalled that Barr. Anna Darius Ishaku had said that her Hope Afresh Foundation Taraba had gone into partnership with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to train at least 10,000 people in various skills in the State.

The program which was flagged off recently commenced with the first batch of 220 participants who are currently training in the sewing of Senegalese designs, catering and ICT among others.
