Insecurity: Council Boss in Taraba Seeks Deployment of More Security.

The Executive Chairman, Takum Local Government Council in Taraba State, Hon. Shiban Tikari has called for the deployment of more security personnel to his Local Government to curb cases of crime in the area.

Shiban made the call yesterday during a thanksgiving service in his honour at the Christian Reformed Church of Nigeria (CRC-N), Ungwan Tikari in Takum.

The thanksgiving service which was held to specially thank God for the victory of Hon. Shiban as the Executive Chairman of Takum Local Government drew dignitaries from within and outside the State.

Shiban who was the Caretaker Chairman of Takum before his election as Chairman said the main challenge facing the Local Government was insecurity and called for the deployment of talented security personnel to help check criminal activities in the area.

While acknowledging the enormous task ahead of him, the Chairman called on security operatives in the area to live up to expectations, even as he appeal to the people to cooperate with them to succeed.

He thanked the Governor of Taraba, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku for his support and other dignitaries for joining him in thanking God and assured the people of Takum that he will run an open door policy for the development of the area.

Earlier in his address,  the Pastor in charge, CRC-N Ungwan Tikari Takum,  Rev. Moses Didan called on the celebrant to rule with the fear of God.

He reminded the Chairman that for him to succeed in his political career, he must remain faithful to God, urging him to execute projects that would have direct bearing on the lives of the people, who will live to remember him.

“You must carter for the interest of all the people of Takum irrespective of political affiliations, tribe or religion. I implore you to carry all along for the general good of the people of Takum,” he said.

The cleric called on the people of Takum to support the Chairman to succeed, even as he assured the Council Chairman of the Church continuous prayers for him to succeed.
