The National Youth Council of Nigeria NYCN, Taraba State chapter has passed a vote of confidence on the Executive Governor of Taraba State, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku for the laudable programmes initiated since he became the Governor of the State.
The commendation was made by NYCN Chairman of Taraba State Chapter, Comrade Udi Adamu at the gate of government House during a solidarity rally organised by the youths in the state to show the Governor that the entire youths are in total support of the ongoing positive transformation in the States.
Comrade Udi Adamu maintained that the I Stand With DDI pro rally is to show him that the entire youths in the state are in tune with his administration and are determined to stand and defend all his actions, stressing that the youths have been made the focal point of the Rescue Mission in the state.
He mentioned that the ongoing biometrics exercise in the state is an exercise that should be intensified and call on the Governor to ignore the frivolous claims by some disgruntled people that do not wish the state and the entire youths well by coming up with an authentic list of civil servants in the state.
The number one youth in the State told the Governor that the flushing out of ghost workers through the biometrics will eventually pave way for the employment of youths into the state civil service to make it vibrant and productive
Comrade UdI Adamu enumerated projects such as the introduction of the Rescue Watch which is an offshoot of the Rescue Mission, the Jalingo water Scheme, Greenhouse, roads, Highland Tea and the Tunga Dam among other projects that have already been commissioned in the state.
He maintained that it would be wrong on the part of youths in the state to keep quiet and allow people that are not in the know of what is happening in the state and are rather misinforming people on the good intention of government that is aimed at changing the fortunes of the youths in the state for good.
Comrade Udi Adamu praised the visionary leadership of the Governor and posited that he has reinvigorated on the state Revenue Board by making it is more vibrant, productive and result oriented as well as the stability of power supply in the state and have engaged the youths productively.
The youth council further commended the State Governor, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku on the peaceful conduct of the recently concluded local government elections and posited that youths are strictly in support of the present administration and are determined to work round the clock for it to meet the yearnings and aspirations of the people of the state.
Responding, the Governor, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku said his administration is poised to effect positive changes to the governance of the state and said no amount of propaganda would deter him from going ahead with the plans he has already earmarked for the development of the state.
Darius Ishaku maintained that his administration places premium importance on the development and empowerment of both women and youths in the state and thanked them for recognising all the developmental strides of his administration.
He revealed that about sixty people are already undergoing training in varieties of skills in Abeokuta and further stated that, the first batch of Rescue Watch will be graduating this week and disclosed that very soon, about five persons from each ward in the state would be trained after the first group have passed out.
The Governor said the water expansion programme is going to be a continuous process which will last up to 2035 and said when there is sufficient water supply in the state manufacturing company would seize the opportunity and invest in the state and consequently it would translate to employment for the youths of the state.
Darius Ishaku told the large number of youths that came out for the solidarity rally that, about fifty of them would soon be sent to Kenya for training and said the youths are the most vibrant and productive members of every society and posited that no amount of investment on the youths will be too much.
The Governor thank the youths for the solidarity rally and told them that they will be involve in the running of his administration and tasks them to always embrace peace in all that they do for peace, progress and development of the state.
