Taraba State Police Command on Friday confirmed the kidnap of Engr. Leva Igba, a Lecturer with the Department of Food Science and Technology, Federal University Wukari, Taraba State.

An eyewitness Mr. Sule Tilkon told newsmen that Mr. Igba was kidnapped at gunpoint at Takum junction in Wukari on Thursday afternoon.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP. David Misal, who confirmed the incident to Newsmen in Jalingo said the Command was working hard to secure his freedom.

The PPRO called on the family members to continue to cooperate with the Police in order to track down the criminals, even as he urged them not to pay any ransom to the hoodlums.
