She also noted that in their own little way in the past, they had sent delegates to go and learn a little on Cosmetology so as to come back and teach others, expressing joy that the Governor’s wife has brought it to them.

She further explained that in order to achieve its aim of reaching out, NCWS encourages the various indigent groups among them to form Cooperatives, stressing that about 76 Cooperative groups are presently registered and have bank accounts.

She pointed out that the NCWS in Ibi enjoys a lot of cooperation among its members as there is no religious sentiments among them but only unity of purpose to help one another.

According to her, the bond is kept by organising meetings frequently to find out areas of challenges faced by the groups, and giving assistance where necessary.

She used the medium to solicit for more support from the Government stating that, “we need more of this training as well as the materials to start up and sustain ourselves”.

She also pleaded with the Governor’s wife come to the aid of a group of blacksmiths in Ibi by providing them with sophisticated machines to aid their work, describing them as the “best blacksmiths in town”.
