The Ter Makurdi, Sule Abenga has lauded the peace accord reached by Governor Darius Ishaku and his Benue state counterpart Samuel Ortum on settling border disputes.
Chief Sule Abenga stated this during a lunch meeting organized to affirm the peace agreement by both governors at Kashimbila, Takum local government area.
He said God has chosen both governors to rescue people of the border community and advised people of the areas to support the two Governors initiatives.
The traditional ruler emphasized that the peace pact would put to rest the lingering border crisis between Taraba and Benue states.
Sule Abenga further stated that the Jukuns and Tivs from the early period did not discriminate and urged them to solidify that bond of brotherhood for the sake of peace and development.
The Chief also praised the Aku Uka of Wukari for maintaining peace in the entire Kwararafa region.
