The Federal Road Safety Corps, Taraba State Command has flagged off the end of year ember month campaign at the A. J Owoniyi motor park Jalingo.
Speaking at the occasion, the State Commandant of the FRSC, Godwin Omiko said the campaign with the theme “Crash the Crash, kill the speed”is aimed at enlightening road users on the need to be cautious at all times.
Omiko reiterated the readiness of the corps this ember period to ensure that there is free flow of traffic in Taraba state.
He stressed that only the living can celebrate any festivity hence the need for drivers to obey traffic rules and regulations.
In his speech, the guest of honour at the event, Commissioner of Works and Transport, Tafarki Agbadu Eneme said the campaign is timely in view of the Christmas and new year celebrations.
He caution drivers against making calls while driving to minimise road crashes during this period.
Various stakeholders spoke on the importance of the campaign and appreciated the FRSC for their efforts in sustaining the campaign.
