Prayer and goodwill have been extolled by the Taraba State Governor as essentials for a happy home.
Governor Darius Ishaku who was represented by his wife at the wedding solemnization of Samira Yimro Yusuf and Moses Aliyu yesterday emphasized that couples must make prayer a vital part of their relationship and sustain the desire to make their marriages work if they must enjoy a lasting union.
The Governor who was the Chairman of the ocassion told the couple at the wedding reception in their honour at the Davino Events Center, Kaduna to ensure that they prayerfully resolve every matrimonial problem that might ensue in the course of time.
Continuing, he referred to the Groom as the luckiest man on earth to have married the Bride a well known person to him and was optimistic that she could make a perfect home for him.
He thanked the audience for celebrating with the new couple and implored them to give the young ones every needed support to make their marriage blissful.
Earlier in his homily, Rev. Joshua Nathan at ECWA Good news Church Angwan Yelwa, Kaduna admonished the congregation to invite the Lord Jesus into their lives and urged them to point the couple to Him should they seek their assistance at any time.
Anchoring his sermon in the the book of John 2, the clergyman encouraged the couple to give the Lord Jesus prominence in their home and obey His instructions to ensure lasting peace and joy.
At the wedding reception yesterday were wives of the Taraba State Secretary to the State Government, Chief of Staff, Commissioners, wives of Care-tacker Chairmen and other prominent dignitaries within Taraba and Kaduna States.
