The Permanent Secretary and Chairman, Taraba state Board of Internal Revenue, Alhaji Adamu Sani, has finally retired from service having attained the mandatory thirty-five years of service to the state.
The out gone Permanent Secretary had during his time achieved a lot in the Board including the unprecedented generation of N4 billion revenue in Taraba. Also, he was able to open out- stations of the Board in Karim Lamido, Mutum Biyu and was able to renovate dilapidated structures in Wukari and so on.

However, his regret was his inability to construct an office in Bali.
Sani, who was extolled and respected for his generosity, hard work and innovativeness would be greatly missed by members of staff of the Board.
While addressing staff of the organization today, Sani urged them to take their work serious and asked the senior personnel to train staff of the board on issues of revenue generation.
While responding, Director, Assessment of the Board, Uria Voka, extolled the virtues of the outgone chairman and said he would be greatly missed.
Voka, who took over from Sani, however demanded for cooperation from the staff in order for him to succeed.
The event was a solemn event graced by family members and all staff of the organization.
As the Chairman left the hall for his car, the entire staff trailed him behind in solidarity and it was a very emotional moment with some staff shedding tears as he made to depart.
