Wife of Taraba State Governor, Barr. Anna Darius Ishaku today met with various groups in the State to brainstorm on ways to move the State forward.
Addressing the gathering at the Hope Afresh Foundation Office, Jalingo, Barr. Anna Darius Ishaku explained that the meeting was meant to review the organisation’s achievements within its one year in office and receive inputs from the various groups on issues bothering on the way forward for the Foundation as well as the State.
She stated that, she derives joy partnering with others to achieve goals as well as training people who will appreciate the training by moving it forward.
She also stressed that, she is encouraged when people make use of skills received, adding that the Foundation has so far received approval and support of the U.S Embassy, GCTC, T.Y Danjuma Foundation and others.
She further urged the groups to feel free to offer advice and make suggestions on ways the Foundation can improve or maintain its tempo on previous activities.
Earlier in her welcoming address, the Administrative Officer of the Foundation, Mrs. Nungriman Dashe welcomed the stakeholders and various groups for availing themselves for the meeting, urging them to feel free to discuss issues that will move the Organisation and the State forward.
Also speaking, the Project Manager of the Foundation, Mrs. Helen Douglas Saba who stressed that the vision of the Foundation is hinged on partnership and collaboration with groups and NGOs, gave an overview of the activities of the Foundation within the past one year and commended the Governor’s wife for the achievements so far.
In their various remarks, the groups applauded the wife of the Governor for empowering and putting smiles on the faces of Tarabans through her philanthropic deeds stating that, it is a new dawn for Taraba.
They further commended Barr. Anna Ishaku’s leadership style, describing it as an inclusive Government that seeks to carry everyone along.
They further pointed out education and ICT training as aspects in which the Foundation can improve upon.
Some of the groups present include WOWICAN, NCWS, NAWOJ, FIDA, Widows Association, Limbless Brotherhood Association amongst many others.
