It was an atmosphere of praise and worship as songs were offered to glorify the name of the Lord Almighty at the Takum Christian Community Special Choir Concert under the auspices of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State.
The event, which was held at the Reformed Christian Church of Christ for Nations RCCN Ikam Takum Local Government Area, was organized by the wife of the Taraba State Governor, Barrister Anna Darius Ishaku, and witnessed by the State Governor Architect Darius Dickson Ishaku and other Clergymen.
Speaking at the event, the state Governor, Arch. Darius Dickson Ishaku encouraged believers always to praise God in all situations and called on Tarabans to love one another and live peacefully among themselves in their various Communities to enable the rescue mission to succeed in its task ahead.
In her Address, the Governor’s wife, Barrister Anna Darius Ishaku expressed gratitude to God and the entire gathering for the success of the Programme, which was meant to offer praises to God for what he has been doing in everyone’s life.
She laid emphasis on the need for believers and Tarabans to also live in peace, be close to God, and offer thanksgiving, reminding them that, Let everything that has breathed praise the Lord which is a command for her to initiate such choir concept because praises heal situations and give peace to human souls.
Also in his speech, the caretaker committee chairman of Takum Local Government Council, Hon Prince Shiban Tikari, represented by his Personal Assistant, Mr. Sylvanus Manasseh, Commended the Governor’s Wife as the Visioner and Convener of the concert and also to all the Choristers and clergymen for availing themselves to the service of God.
He called on the gathering to emulate the Governor’s wife lifestyle, for sparing time to honour God either in Worship or Evangelism as praises bring healing, deliverance, blessings and create an intimate relationship with God.
In a short exhortation, the Take CAN Editor 1, Rev Elisha Eyab who took his biblical scripture from 1st Chronicles 15:16 and 27 and tagged his message “Join the Choristers” reminded the gathering to always offer praise to God because it comes with victory, healing, breakthrough, peace and blessing as demonstrated by King David in the Bible.
Other Speakers include, the Takum CAN acting Chairman, Rev Fr. Thaddeus Onyekason, represented by the CAN Secretary, Rev Samuel Shishi, Mrs. Martha Joseph Ajaver and the Takum Choir Chairman and Mr. Jerry Romtom.
They all appreciated God and the initiator, Barr. Anna Darius Ishaku for such event, saying that praises move God to bless Souls.
There were song Ministrations by various singing groups as well as praises offered to God.
