A two-day seminar on Ethics and Protocol in Government for female and wives of political office holders commenced today in Jalingo, Taraba State.
The seminar, which held at the Hope Afresh Foundation office in Jalingo was organised by wife of Taraba State Governor, Barr. Anna Darius Ishaku to instill discipline as well as enlighten participants on acceptable ways to act in a wide range of stakeholders relationship.
In her opening address, the Governor’s wife took time to explain the various areas which will be covered during the programme to include issues on protocol, etiquette, security, leadership skills and Government procedures, stressing that the seminar is a replicate of the one orgainsed at the National level by the wife of the President, Hajiya Aisha Buhari.
According to her, the progamme is to serve as a “guide for participants, providing pieces of advice and tools on each subject matter which can be used in a wide range of stakeholders relationship”.
She further urged participants to make the best out of the event as well as make useful interaction and contributions that would benefit the wider society, assuring that the resource persons carefully selected for the seminar are experts who will do justice to the topics within their jurisdiction.
Two papers were presented by the Chief Security Officer, Government House, Dasat Iliya (SP) on ‘Government House Security’, while the Chief Administrative Officer, Government House, Mr. Yunana Danladi presented the paper on ‘Protocol in Government and Social Functions’.
