The National Youth Council of Nigeria, Taraba state chapter, which is the apex body and authoritative voice of Youths in the state, has on behalf of the over eight hundred thousand (800, 000) youths in the state wielded its hammer on the ongoing imbroglio surrounding the visit of the Minister of Women Affairs and Child’s development, Senator Aisha Jummai Alhassan on the ‘Breach of Protocol’ to the Taraba state government.
In a press release signed by the Chairman of the body, Comrade Udi Adamu at the Jolly Nyame stadium Jalingo, the NYCN condemned in its totality the attitude of the Senator which is against the tenet of civilized democracies.
It affirmed that the amount of peace enjoyed in the state would not be compromised by any person who disrespects constituted authorities on affix egoism and pride with political undertone to the detriment of the downtrodden in the society.
It also stated that the fundamental inherent problems bedeviling the country today are identifiable in our common degenerative and gradual erosive bonds of ethnicity, religious intolerance by selfish and wicked politicians who does not mean well for our beloved state Taraba.
It further indicated that it is an unfathomable reality that the past government in the country lacked strengthened institutions of government entrenched in the culture of impunity which must not be allowed to continue and Tarabans in a collective resolve needs to support the Federal and state governments to reap more dividends of democratic governance.
The statement called on youths to be calm as the government is on top of the matter and encourages them to embrace peace irrespective of party affiliations and religious background for the rapid development of the state.
It said elections have come and gone, and it is time for all Tarabans to support Governor Darius Dickson-led administration to move the state to enviable heights.
The body called on the state government to provide Jobs for the teeming youths roaming the streets and to establish supra empowerment programs that would assist entrepreneurs in a bid to liberate them out of the clutches of poverty.
NYCN, Taraba state chapter, appreciated the patience and resilience of Taraba youths in respecting constituted authorities and urged them to maintain the status quo.
The Body passed a vote of confidence on the state Governor, Architect Darius Dickson Ishaku for his developmental strides which stretches to all nook and crannies of the state for the past one year in office.
It congratulated the Governor on his 62nd birthday celebration and wished him more years in the service to humanity.
