At Takum: See What Barr. Anna Ishaku Want Christians to Do

Wife of Taraba State Governor, Barr. Anna Darius Ishaku has called on Christians to lay aside their problems and praise God for his divine intervention in their affairs.

The Wife of the Governor made this call during the Choral Praise programme organised by the Hope Afresh Foundation Taraba in collaboration with Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN held at the Reformed Church of Christ for Nations, RCCN, Ikam LCC in Takum Local Government Area of the State.

Barr. Anna Ishaku represented by Juliana Hassan Weiwei observed that too many times Christians forget the great acts of God in their lives and resort to complaining and murmuring at any little challenge instead of engaging the weapon of praise so God can intervene in their affairs

Quoting from the book of Acts 6:25 where Paul and Silas sang praises to God in spite of their predicament in prison and were supernaturally released, she explained that if they had resorted to murmuring and complaining, they would have remained in prison.

The Wife of the Governor also solicited for continuous prayers and support for the State and the Government to enable them rescue the State from its present state of underdevelopment.

Earlier the Caretaker Chairman, Takum Local Government Area, Hon. Shiban Tikari commended the Wife of the Governor for the vision to honour, praise and adoration to  God as well as awaken people from their spiritual slumber of the last days, adding that the programme should be a continuous one in order to bring revival in the State.

Hon. Tikari further called on women to emulate the Governor’s wife in dedicating themselves to the service of God in the midst of a generation where the love of many Christians are waxing cold towards God.

In his exhortation, Rev. Joseph Ajaver admonished Christians to always worship God in Spirit and Truth as praises work wonders among God’s people and can deliver the State from all its challenges.

The clergyman explained that the act of true worship is an expression of genuine love and reverence to God and should be a lifestyle for every Christian if they are to experience divine intervention in their affairs, adding that God is worthy of our praise because He is our father.

Also speaking, the Takum CAN Acting Chairman, Rev. Fr. Thaddeus Onyekineso appreciated the Governor’s Wife for striking believers’ consciousness to offer praises to God, stressing that through praise, we can reach God the way we have never done.

The Acting Chairman further prayed that the Choral Praise be sustained with a resounding effect on the people of the State.
