Yorro: Acquire Basic Skills, Governor’s Wife Advises Women and Youths

Women and Youths in Yorro Local Government Area have been charged to acquire skills that will make them self-reliant.

Yorro Wife of Taraba State Governor, Barr. Anna Darius Ishaku who was represented by her programme Manager, Mrs. Helen Douglas gave this charge during the flag-off of the Skills Acquisition Training Programme at the Government Lodge, Pantisawa, headquarters of Yorro Local Government Area.

Mrs. Douglas who expressed the love and concern of her Excellency towards the beneficiaries, urged them to be dedicated to the training in order to enable them benefit from the Rescue Mission of the present administration as she solicited for their cooperation and support.

In his welcome address, the Chairman Yorro Local Government Area, Alhaji Zakari Buba Nyala who was represented by the Vice-Chairman, Hon. Ishaya Dimas  expressed delight with her Excellency’s laudable programme for the people of the area, stating that it will go a long way in uplifting their standard of living as individuals and as a Community in general.

In their separate remarks, Hon. Amos Mago and Hon. Nasiru Saidu also appreciated the Governor’s wife for keying into her husband’s Rescue Mission to ensure that people at the grassroots benefit and enjoy the dividends of democracy.

They further urged the participants to take advantage of the opportunity given them to reduce poverty in the Community as well as contribute their quota to the development of the State.

In his vote of thanks, the Youth Coordinator, Hon. Aaron Jamazang expressed delight at what is happening in the Local Government Area, stressing that, the programme will help curb unemployment in the Community.

The Governor’s wife was later shown round the various training centers.
