The Taraba State Police Command has shortlisted over eight thousand candidates in the ongoing recruitment into the Nigerian Police Force in the ranks of ASP, inspector cadet and Junior cadres of the force.
The shortlisted candidates in the state are presently being screened at the police officers mess in Jalingo the state capital.
Speaking with Taravoices correspondent, the Police Public Relations Officer, Joseph Kwaji said the screening is expected to last for two weeks.
The exercise is being done alphabetically according to the listing of the sixteen Local Government Areas of the state.
Yesterday’s screening started with Ardo kola, Bali and Donga Local Government Areas and others will follow, according to the days allotted to the Local Government Areas including Yantu Special Development Area.
He expressed satisfaction with the orderly manner and cooperation the candidates have extended to the officers for the smooth conduct of the exercise.
He urged candidates to follow the laid down rules to achieve their goals.
Joseph Kwaji stressed that the screening is Nationwide and will last for two weeks before the training proper will commence for successful candidates.
