The Federal Road Safety Corps Commander of Taraba Sector Command, Godwin Omiko, has commended the state Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku on the construction of roads within the state.
He said the gesture has really helped in minimizing accidents in the state capital. The sector Commander stated this in an interview with Taravoices correspondent today at the state headquarters while commending the efforts put in place by the present administration pointing out that road shoulders need to be tackled which help vehicles to pack out of the road and help pedestrians have a comfortable movement.
He said the road shoulders help and aid traffic, saying where drainages are not provided it stands as a means of safety for the citizens. The affected areas include Jalingo to Wukari, road block along NNPC mega station and some areas within the state.
Some of the motorists said packing their vehicles is difficult stressing that at times they end up blocking the road which is risky. They however appreciated the ongoing road construction at magami, market area and some areas, saying it is a dividend of development.
