FC Taraba to Undergo Reorganization

Taraba State Governor, Arch. Darius Dickson has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment for the reorganization and the revitalization of Taraba Football Club, FC Taraba so that it would be beneficial to both Government and players.

The Chairman of Taraba United, Hon. Daniel Ishaya Gani revealed this in an interview with newsmen in Government House Jalingo recently, hence the need to reposition the club preparatory to the task ahead.

FC-TarabaThough the Chairman lamented that he was appointed Chairman of Taraba FC barely few weeks when the club was relegated from the professional football league, which Globacom is sponsoring maintained that he is working assiduously to ensure that the club performs excellently in this season’s national league.

Hon. Ishaya Gani said modalities are being worked out so that private organisations and football lovers in the state can equally join hands with Government to support the club so that it can perform better in all its engagements.

He revealed that some private organisations have started indicating interest in the kitting of the players as well as the provision of other basic requirements of the club.

Speaking on the report submitted by the committee set up by the state Government, Hon. Gani said Government is still studying the report and when it is through it will take the appropriate measure.

The Chairman added that lack of initiation was responsible for the relegation of FC Taraba from the professional premier league and assured that he will do his best to ensure that the club returns to the professional league.

He explained that at the moment he plans to go to all the nooks and corners of Taraba state to hunt indigenous players who are skillful and talented in the art of footballing and are ready to make a living out of it when given the opportunity.

The FC chairman used the opportunity to solicit for support for the club from well meaning individuals averring that the success of the club is a pride to all Tarabans.
