Taraba State Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku has described his late Mother in-law Mama Clara Wayo as a respected woman.
Darius Ishaku said Mama Clara deserved the honour given to her because she was the architect of the success of her children.
The Wife of the state Governor Barr. Anna Darius Ishaku said the memorial service of her late mother was to thank God for his faithfulness in their lives.
Anna Ishaku said the good works of her Mother in her lifetime assisted her to be encouraged and successful.
She thanked all those that attended the memorial service of her Mother.
Bishop Timothy Yahaya in his sermon took his text from the book of Acts Chapter 9. He equated the lifestyle of late Mama Clara Wayo with that of Dorcas in the Bible.
Timothy Yahaya encouraged the wife of the Governor Anna Darius Ishaku and her younger ones to emulate their Mother as a philanthropist and an educationist who assisted many during her lifetime.
The clergyman said though Mama Clara lived for only 38 years she left numerous legacies.
Bishop Timothy Yahaya used the occasion to charge politicians to teach their children to be responsible and not to depend on the position of their parents.
Yahaya lamented over the falling standard of education and attributed it to lack of professional teachers and adequate training.
The clergyman said most of the primary school teachers cannot write lesson notes and called on Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku to give attention to the education sector.
Mama Clara Wayo the Mother of the wife of the Governor Anna Ishaku died forty years ago in a motor accident along Zaria road.
