Inhabitants of Kusamu Village of Mayo-Lope Ward in Lau Local government area have been rendered homeless due to Inferno that engulfed the village.
The fire occurred on Sunday when the Villagers had gone to worship.
A victim of the incident Hassan Nyagoba Kusaba told our reporter who visited the community that their houses were completely razed down leaving the families with nothing.
He said the victims are now taking refuge at the resident of good samaritans describing the situation as pathetic.
Speaking on behalf of the village head Haruna Lamba said the community lacks government presence there by making life unbearable for the people.
The Councilor representing Mayo-Lope ward Samika Sanviki who sympathized with the community over the incident called on them to take solace in God as their last hope.
Samika Sanviki appealed to the state and local governments, spirited individuals and organizations to assist the victims with relief materials.
He also called on the Local government to send a medical team to the area to take care of the displaced persons and those who sustained injuries while attempting to put off the fire even though no life was lost.
Properties destroyed include food stuff, clothes and other house hold gadgets.
It could be recalled that at the beginning of January a similar incident occurred in Kunini Ward of Lau Local government.
