Women Missionary Union Annual Programme

Sunday service became exciting in First Baptist Church Jalingo as Women Missionary Union (WMU) held their annual programme tagged “Working on Your Salvation with Fear and Trembling”.

Speaking from the book of Philippians 2:12, the resident Pastor Rev. Moses A Iro charged the congregation to work on their salvation with fear and trembling in order not to miss Heaven. He also asked members to seek God and be on track through obedience, repentance and sincerity to one another.

There were song ministrations by various groups such as the English women fellowship, the Anointed Band etc.

There was also presentation of gifts to some dedicated women such as Mrs Lydia Nyangwa, Mrs Lami Joel, Mrs Rebecca John and others. Various groups under the WMU such as Sun Beam, Girls Auxiliary (GA) were promoted to the next levels.

The programme was ended with a remark from the WMU president Mrs Martina Philip Wunam and prayers were offered for all women in the congregation by Rev. Moses A Iro.
